Hello friends 👋,
Today, I’m thrilled to share a project I’ve been working on for the past half a year, Academy by Blind Gallery.
A place for artists, curators, collectors, gallerists, art dealers, and anyone interested in blockchain art space to start their journey. The goal is to enable artists and educators to create and contribute with their own courses, enriching the learning experience with diverse perspectives and insights.
Why An Academy?
Simply put, the blockchain art scene is booming, yet navigating it can be overwhelming. Our answer? High-quality, accessible learning material from passionate experts, empowering you to explore and grow.
How Does It Work?
Sign up via email or crypto wallet.
For artists and art professionals, curators, collectors, gallerists, art dealers, and more.
You can purchase asynchronous video course material created by experts in the blockchain art space.
Upon completion of courses (successfully passing the exams), students get a soulbound NFT token on the Tezos blockchain.
The Academy runs on the Tezos blockchain and we accept payments via XTZ and credit card.
About the Blind Gallery
If you aren’t familiar, I founded the Blind Gallery in 2022, and we have put art in the spotlight (not the hype behind names and speculation) as the cornerstone of our gallery. It is a new way to experience art collecting via blind curations. We have worked with over seventy artists whose work has been collected by thousands of collectors.
You can take a look at our digital art shows here.
Academy Opening
The Academy opens today, February 8th, with our first introductory course — Introduction to the Blockchain Art World. This is a ±45 minute course that we have developed to explain, in simple terms, the foundations of the digital art space.
It comprises five chapters, going through blockchain, cryptocurrencies, crypto wallets, NFTs, and smart contracts, highlighting their importance for the art market.
We are thrilled to be working with passionate experts in the space, and more courses ranging from diverse topics will be released over the following weeks.

Are you experienced in the field of digital art?
Let's collaborate. Together, we'll craft engaging courses, with you earning a share of each sale.
How does it work?
We brainstorm and define a specific topic, targeting artists, curators, collectors, art professionals, and hobbyists.
We support the production of the material, packaging it into a coherent package of modules and chapters.
Educators earn a percentage of each sale automatically.
You focus on the content, and we take care of the rest.
If this sounds interesting, we would love to talk to you.
Supported by the Tezos Foundation
We appreciate the support of the Tezos Foundation, which has made this initiative possible via a grant. Thanks to their support, we have been able to create a new platform from scratch and speed up our development efforts.
Until next time,
Kaloh
