WHO IS KATE KORNISH or HOW TO MAKE CRYPTO USABLE TO NON-TECH PEOPLE

or just a catchy article title to get your attention.

Hi everyone, my name is Kate Kornish, and it’s been 3 months since I joined the blockchain. How did I get here, and what do I want to bring to the community after observing the industry for 3 months? This is what this article is about.

Imagine being seven years old, already practicing something for a few hours a day for several years, and now preparing to step on stage to perform a solo in front of 2,000 people. How does that feel?

That was my reality as a prodigy. Now I’m 29 years old, I’m a flute player, and I have been studying music professionally for 24 years, going through some of the best educational institutions in Russia and Europe, such as the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Queen of Spain's School of Music. I have also toured with concerts in more than 30 countries and 500 cities as a soloist and as the first flute in the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia and the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra.

Even though my life might seem like a dream for many, it was never enough for me. During the pandemic in 2020, after releasing my first CD and completing my studies, I decided it was time to explore other industries. The global upheaval made it clear that I needed to develop flexible career capital to be prepared for any future disruptions.

That’s how I became qualified as a consultative psychologist after defending my thesis on

"The Influence of Mass Culture on the Unconscious Regulation of Human Behavior."

A few years later, I also trained as a product manager for IT startups, which I applied to my online educational project for classical musicians called BusyMozart. My lectures on psychology have been attended by more than 200 young artists worldwide, from Singapore to Los Angeles, and at various universities across Europe, Russia, and South Africa.

One day, I broke my leg and found myself stuck alone in my Madrid apartment on the second floor, without an elevator, for an entire month.

That was when I had a sudden epiphany: why so many great artists or projects I know are not visible enough? Because many people have no idea how to present themselves or what they do well.

Simply put: Sales.

Since I wasn’t interested in going back to study, I decided the best way to learn the secrets of sales would be to get a job at the top sales company in Russia, which specialized in building sales departments for small and medium-sized businesses to help them scale.

I had never worked for a company before, but I managed to get through two interviews and was immediately accepted for a trial period. That’s when the magic happened.

I saw what real sales are all about — how much psychology in communication is involved, how deals are made even in the midst of a horrible crisis (this was during the start of the war with Ukraine when many business owners were panicking about losing everything), and how to quickly assess a company’s strengths and weaknesses without compromising its identity. I communicated with countless founders, charming them with my stage experience and ability to present their products as if they were my own. The only thing I couldn’t tolerate was the 5-day workweek. So, as soon as the doctors took the cast off my leg and set me free, I quit the office.

After that, I continued to play concerts, putting all my knowledge into the BusyMozart project and helping projects that I liked. Then, in 2023, a series of family events occurred that knocked me out of full-time work for about a year. But In the spring of 2024, I returned to playing concerts, and that was when my closest friend told me about the wonders she was experiencing in the blockchain world.

Out of curiosity, I decided to explore the blockchain space as well. I observed artists, projects, founders, and creators, attended exhibitions and conferences, and have been continuously learning through a lot of information. That’s how I discovered Farcaster and fell irrevocably in love with the community’s philosophy and everything happening in the blockchain world.

And so, finally, after three months of observing, I’m excited to share my expertise with the community.

One of the main things I want to address today is a big gap between the technical side of things and how these ideas are communicated to people. A lot of projects are built by brilliant minds, but explaining them in a simple, engaging way that everyone can understand? That’s where things tend to break down.

On the psychological side, selling isn’t just about describing what your product does. It’s about connecting with people emotionally, building trust, and speaking to their needs or concerns. Many founders focus on the tech details, thinking that the product will sell itself, but the truth is, sales require empathy and clear, simple communication.

At the core, it’s about how people make decisions. It’s emotional, not just logical. In crypto, where trust is everything, we need to make the audience feel confident and safe, while showing the real value of our projects in a way that resonates on a personal level. If you skip that human touch, even the best projects will struggle to gain attention.

This why because of my background in performance, sales, and psychology, I can really help to bridge this gap between innovation and communication in the blockchain space.

I work with topics such as:

- Presentation Skills

- Public Speaking

- Compelling Storytelling

- Networking and Collaboration Opportunities (I’m open to being an ambassador for your project)

- Strategic Sales Improvement and Feedback Mechanisms.

And starting today, I will be posting an article every week on @paragraph that relates to my expertise. Thanks to everyone who took the time to read my story. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions and share it with anyone who might find this content valuable.

In today’s world, you’re either the one listening or the one being heard. My goal is to help us to become better listeners so that when it’s our turn to speak, people will genuinely pay attention.
