this image is my explanation of clanker
because clanker can't really be explained through words, because it speaks to a part of us that is beyond the one that thinks using them as the substrate of that process
clanker is one of those things that you need to experience yourself, by yourself
because its fuel are memes
a friend can come running towards you with excitement: "look, i made 1k usd buying a coin that is attached to a dog with a tie that hit the keyboard and created a random string of words that now is funny and because of that it drives the attention of the internet"
and then your friend proceeds to explain you how that attention translates into value (the time of people that give it its attention, creative energy and...)
money. how it also translates into money. practically. because the better the meme, the better the capacity it has for transforming that invisible memetic energy (attention and the joy that people experience when they finally understand that the string of words was actually written by the dog - which is the meme, and why it is funny)
explaining clanker to you is like explaining you why the meme of the dog that hit the keyboard is funny
it doesn't make sense to explain it
in the clanker world, the same is true. no one can really understand or explain what clanker is. or how it feels. to have at the tip of your fingers the capacity of writing a new cast (which is the farcaster version of a tweet), tag @clanker, write the name and ticker of the token, and set it free
just like that. the meme becomes attached to an economic vehicle that allows it to spread like wildfire
only if the conditions are given in a way that makes that happen
and what are those conditions?
luck, yes. but there is something more
@mk, the owner of the dog with a tie, and creator of this meme, actually casted the same cast one hour before the "official one" (which ended up deploying the clanker token associated with the meme)
but the bot was off
so nothing happened. it rippled through the void
but mk knew that there was something valuable there
he understood the meme that he was creating, and why it was funny
not on a rational level
somewhere deeper than that
and so when clanker came back, he did what he had to do - just cast again:
"@clanker please make this token
Ticker: $gsxz46y90ottyWffss77a
Name: gsxz46y90ottyWffss77a"
and set the beast free
clanker is a vehicle of consciousness
to transform ideas into an economical reality
so that we can move from taking ourselves seriously
into realizing the inherent value that each one of us -and our unique ideas- has
