Each post exists as a tokenized collectible (or NFT), meaning users can claim ownership and store it securely in their wallets. This process transforms traditional social media posts into digital assets with inherent value, providing creators with new monetization opportunities.

Rodeo’s community-driven curation model further sets it apart. Unlike algorithm-controlled feeds found on conventional platforms, Rodeo prioritizes engagement from users and collectors. Posts gain visibility based on creator activity, user interactions, and the minting of posts, making it a platform driven by genuine community interest.

Users on Rodeo can engage in three primary roles:

• Creators: Artists, photographers, designers, and content creators can upload and tokenize their work, share it with the community, and earn ETH whenever their posts are minted by collectors. 

• Collectors: Collectors can discover new art, collect posts they love, and showcase their personal collection on their profiles. Collectors can also earn referral rewards by influencing others to collect the same post.

• Curators: As curators, users play a key role in surfacing and amplifying exceptional content. By sharing and promoting posts they’ve collected, curators can influence others to mint those posts, earning referral rewards in return.

Rodeo is more than just a social network—it’s a creative ecosystem where artists can thrive, collectors can build personal portfolios, and curators can establish their influence. 

To begin your journey on Rodeo, you’ll first need to create an account. Rodeo offers multiple login options to make the process quick and convenient. Here’s how you can get started:

1. Login or Create an Account

   • Email: Enter your email address and follow the instructions to create an account. You’ll receive a confirmation code to verify your email.

   • Crypto Wallet: Connect your existing crypto wallet, such as MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or Rainbow, to Rodeo. Once connected, you’ll be able to log in using your wallet’s signature.

   • Instagram: Use your Instagram account to log in. Simply select the Instagram login option and authorize access.

2. Linking Multiple Login Methods

   • Rodeo allows you to link multiple login methods (email, crypto wallet, and Instagram) to the same account. This gives you the flexibility to log in with the method that’s most convenient for you at any time.

   • To link additional methods, go to your profile’s settings and connect your email, wallet, or Instagram account.

Once you’ve created an account, it’s time to set up your profile. A well-crafted profile makes it easier for other users to discover and connect with you.

   • Username: Choose a unique username that represents your brand or identity on Rodeo.

   1. Farcaster: Connect with your Farcaster account and enhance your reach by casting posts to Farcaster’s audience.

      

   2. Instagram: Link your Instagram account to make it easy for your existing audience to find you on Rodeo.

      

   3. X (formerly Twitter): Link your X account to cross-promote your Rodeo posts to your followers on X.

      

The Rodeo Wallet is a secure smart account designed to facilitate seamless transactions and interactions within the Rodeo platform. Unlike traditional crypto wallets like MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet, the Rodeo Wallet operates as a separate, platform-specific wallet that allows users to deposit, store, and manage ETH directly on Rodeo.

While traditional wallets require users to approve every transaction, the Rodeo Wallet simplifies this process. It enables one-tap deposits, collections, and withdrawals, all while maintaining full security and user control. Users retain complete ownership of their funds, and only they can authorize transactions in and out of their Rodeo Wallet.

Setting up and funding your Rodeo Wallet involves a few simple steps. Here’s a step-by-step guide to get you started:

1. Set Up the Base Network

   • Install a Crypto Wallet: Ensure you have a compatible wallet like MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or Rainbow installed.

   • Add the Base Network: Go to the Base setup page and follow the instructions to add the Base network to your crypto wallet.

   • Verify the Network: Double-check that the Base network has been successfully added to your wallet’s list of available networks.

2. Bridge ETH to Base

   • Use SuperBridge: Open SuperBridge and connect your crypto wallet.

   • Bridge ETH to Base: Select the amount of ETH you want to bridge to the Base network.

   • Confirm the Transaction: Approve the transaction and wait for the bridging process to complete.

   • Ensure Availability: Once complete, you’ll see your ETH on the Base network in your external crypto wallet.

3. Deposit ETH into the Rodeo Wallet

   • Log in to Rodeo: Sign in to your Rodeo account.

   • Access the Wallet: Click on the wallet icon in the top-right corner.

     

   • Deposit Funds: Click the "Deposit" button, choose a preset amount or enter a custom amount of ETH, and confirm the transaction.

     

   • Transaction Confirmation: Approve the transaction in your external crypto wallet to finalize the deposit.

Rodeo makes it simple to deposit and withdraw funds from your Rodeo Wallet. Here’s how to manage your ETH deposits and withdrawals:

1. Deposit ETH into the Rodeo Wallet

   • Log In: Access your Rodeo account and click on the wallet icon.

   • Click “Deposit”: Enter the amount of ETH you’d like to deposit.

   • Confirm and Approve: Review the transaction details and approve it in your external crypto wallet.

   • Check Your Balance: Once confirmed, your ETH balance will be updated in your Rodeo Wallet.

2. Withdraw ETH from the Rodeo Wallet

   • Log In: Access your Rodeo account and click on the wallet icon.

   • Click “Withdraw”: Enter the amount of ETH you’d like to withdraw.

   • Review and Approve: Review the transaction details and hold to confirm the withdrawal.

   • Check External Wallet: Your ETH will be transferred to your external crypto wallet once the withdrawal is complete.

Credits on Rodeo offer a simple, user-friendly alternative to using ETH for collecting posts. Unlike cryptocurrency, credits can be purchased using traditional payment methods, such as debit or credit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. This system allows users who may not have a crypto wallet to fully participate in the Rodeo ecosystem.

• Faster Transactions: Collect posts with a single tap, without requiring blockchain confirmations.

• Simple Payment Options: Purchase credits using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or traditional debit/credit cards.

• Immediate Availability: Credits are instantly added to the Rodeo Wallet once purchased, allowing for immediate use.

1. Buying Credits via the Rodeo Wallet

   • Log in to Rodeo: Access your Rodeo account.

     

   • Go to the Wallet: Click the wallet icon in the top-right corner.

     

   • Click "Get Credits": Select this option to purchase credits.

     

   • Select the Amount: Choose a preset credit amount or enter a custom amount.

     

   • Choose Payment Method: Pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or manually enter debit/credit card details.

     

   • Confirm Payment: Complete the purchase, and credits will be instantly available in your Rodeo Wallet.

   2. Using Credits to Collect Posts

      • Find a Post: Browse the feed or visit the post’s dedicated page.

        

      • Tap “Collect”: Click the Collect button to add the post to your collection.

        

      • Credits are Used First: If credits are available, Rodeo will use them first before using ETH.

      • If you have unused credits, you may be eligible for a refund.

Posts on Rodeo are digital creations that exist as ERC-1155 tokens on the blockchain. Each post can be minted by collectors within a 24-hour period, turning it into a unique, verifiable asset that lives on the blockchain. This tokenization allows creators to retain ownership of their work and provides collectors with a way to own and showcase digital art.

Key information visible on each post includes:

• Mint Countdown: A 24-hour timer indicating how much time is left to mint the post.

  

• Number of Mints: Shows how many collectors have minted the post.

  

• Comments: Enables community feedback and discussions on the post.

  

• Share Options: Allows users to share the post on platforms like Warpcast and social media.

  

  How to Create a Post on Rodeo

  Follow these simple steps to create a post:

  1. Access the Create Button

     • Log in to Rodeo and click the “Create” button on the main navigation bar.

       

  2. Upload an Asset

     • Select the media file you want to upload.

     • Supported file types include JPG, PNG, GIF, MOV, and MP4.

     • File size limits:

       • JPG, PNG, MOV, and MP4 files can be up to 300 MB.

       • GIFs have a size limit of 15 MB.

         

  3. Customize the Post

     • Title: Enter a short title (up to 40 characters) for the post.

       

     • Caption: Write a caption (up to 200 characters) to provide context or a creative description.

       

     • Categories: Select relevant categories (like Illustration, AI Art, Photography, etc.) to increase the visibility of your post.

       

     • Share to Farcaster: If your Farcaster account is connected to Rodeo, you can toggle the option to share the post on Farcaster.

       

     • NSFW Tagging: If your post contains sensitive content, you can tag it as NSFW (Not Safe For Work) to ensure appropriate audience visibility.

       

  4. Submit the Post

     • Click “Post” to finalize and submit the post.

     • Confirm the transaction in your wallet and pay the required gas fee (if applicable).

1. Editing a Post

   • You can edit a post within the first hour of its creation.

   • To edit a post, click on the “...” menu on the post (accessible from the feed or the post’s dedicated page).

     

   • Asset: Change the media file (image/video) used for the post.

   • Title: Update the title of the post.

   • Description/Caption: Edit the caption for the post.

   • Category: Update or add categories to improve discoverability.

   • Once the changes are made, they will be visible to all users, including collectors who have already minted the post.

2. Post Moderation

   • Posts may be moderated if they violate Rodeo’s Terms of Service. This includes issues like misrepresentation, copyminting, adult content, hate speech, and other violations.

   • What Happens to a Moderated Post?

     • The post is removed from visibility on Rodeo’s platform and the creator’s profile.

     • Mints associated with the post will still exist in collectors' wallets and may remain viewable on external platforms.

   • Appealing a Moderation Decision

     • If you believe your post was unfairly moderated, you can contact Rodeo’s support team to appeal the decision.

   By following these guidelines, creators can ensure their posts meet community standards, maximize visibility, and provide a seamless experience for collectors.

Collecting posts on Rodeo is a straightforward process, whether you’re browsing through the feed or viewing a specific post page. Here’s how you can collect a post:

1. Find a Post to Collect

   • Browse the Rodeo feed to discover new posts.

   • Alternatively, visit a creator’s profile to view their collection of posts.

2. Collect the Post

   • Click the “Collect” button located on the post.

     

   • If you have sufficient credits or ETH, the post will be instantly added to your collection.

   • Rodeo prioritizes using credits first. If no credits are available, ETH from your Rodeo Wallet will be used instead.

3. Transaction Confirmation

   • If ETH is being used, you may be prompted to confirm the transaction in your wallet.

   • Once confirmed, the collection will be recorded, and the post will appear in your profile’s "Collected" section.

After collecting posts, you can manage and view your collection directly from your profile. Here’s how:

1. View Collected Posts

   • Go to your Rodeo profile page.

   • Click on the "Collected" tab to see all the posts you’ve collected.

   • View your collection as a personal gallery showcasing your taste and support for creators.

     

2. Undo an Accidental Collection

   • If you accidentally collect a post, you’ll have a limited time to undo it.

   • Immediately after collecting, an “Undo” button will appear on the post.

   • Click the button to reverse the transaction and restore the funds (ETH or credits) to your Rodeo Wallet.

   • Once the "Undo" window expires, the transaction is finalized and cannot be reversed.

If you attempt to collect a post but don’t have enough ETH or credits, you’ll receive an Insufficient Funds message. Here’s what you can do:

1. Buy Credits

   • Purchase credits directly from the Rodeo Wallet.

   • Use Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit/debit card to fund your Rodeo Wallet with credits.

2. Deposit ETH

   • Transfer ETH from your external crypto wallet (like MetaMask or Coinbase) to your Rodeo Wallet.

   • Once the deposit is complete, you’ll be able to collect posts using the ETH balance.

3. Create and Monetize Posts

   • If you’re a creator, you can upload new posts that users can mint.

   • Each mint will earn you ETH, which you can use to collect other posts.

With these options, you’ll always have a way to continue collecting and supporting creators on Rodeo.

Rodeo’s social features make it easy to connect with creators, collectors, and curators. Here’s how to follow and subscribe to users on the platform:

1. How to Follow Users

   • Visit a user’s profile and click the "Follow" button.

   • Once you follow a user, their posts and activity will appear more frequently in your personalized feed.

   • You can also search for users using their username or wallet address to find them directly.

     

2. How to Subscribe to Users

   • After following a user, a bell icon will appear next to their follow button.

   • Click the "Bell" icon to subscribe to their post notifications.

   • You’ll receive an alert every time they post new content.

   • If you unfollow a user, you’ll automatically be unsubscribed from their notifications.

     

   Sharing and Messaging

   Rodeo allows users to share posts and profiles directly through DMs (Direct Messages) to foster connections and encourage collaboration.

   1. How to Share Posts and Profiles via DM

      • Visit the post or profile you want to share.

        

      • Click the "Share" button and select the user you want to send it to.

        

      • Add an optional message to provide context or explanation for why you’re sharing the post.

        

      • Click "Send" to deliver the post or profile directly to their inbox.

   2. How to Send Direct Messages

      • Click the message icon at the top-right corner of the screen.

        

      • Click the “+” button to start a new conversation.

        

      • Select the recipient from your list of contacts or search for them by username.

        

      • Type your message and click the “Send” button.

        

   3. Managing Message Requests

      • If someone you don’t follow sends you a message, it will appear in the Requests tab of your inbox.

        

      • You can choose to accept or ignore the message request.

Rodeo’s notification system keeps you informed of key events and updates in real time. Notifications appear in the Notifications tab.

   • Minting Alerts: Receive a notification when someone mints one of your posts.

   • Rewards: Get notified when you earn rewards for influencing a post mint.

   • Comments: Stay updated on new comments on your posts.

   • Follows: See when new users follow your profile.

   • Subscriptions: Receive alerts for posts from users you’ve subscribed to.

     

2. How to Manage Notifications

   • Go to Settings to customize your notification preferences.

   • Enable or disable specific notifications based on your preferences (e.g., only receive alerts for new mints or comments).

   • Notifications can be paused for a certain period or managed through your device’s system settings.

Both creators and collectors can engage with posts by leaving comments. This feature fosters engagement and allows for community discussions around specific works.

1. How to Comment on a Post

   • Open the post you’d like to comment on.

   

   • Scroll to the comments section and type your message.

     

   • Click “Send” to post your comment.

   • Collectors can only comment on posts they’ve minted, while creators can comment freely on their own posts.

2. Character and Emoji Limits

   • Each comment has a character limit of 1,000 characters.

   • Emojis are supported, allowing you to add fun and visual context to your messages.

These social features make Rodeo a dynamic, interactive platform where creators, collectors, and curators can engage with one another, fostering a sense of community and shared appreciation for digital art.

Creators on Rodeo have the opportunity to earn ETH each time their posts are minted. Here’s how it works:

1. Minting Fee Breakdown

   • Every time a user mints a post, a total minting fee of 0.0001 ETH is charged.

   • 50% (0.00005 ETH) of this fee goes directly to the creator as their earnings.

   • The remaining 50% is split between curators and Rodeo itself, as described in the following sections.

   

2. Tracking Creator Earnings

   • Each time a post is minted, the creator’s earnings are automatically deposited into their Rodeo Wallet.

   • Creators receive notifications for each mint, allowing them to track their earnings in real time.

   • To view a detailed transaction history, creators can access their Rodeo Wallet and review the internal transaction log.

Curators play a vital role in promoting content on Rodeo, and they are rewarded for influencing others to mint posts. Here’s how curators earn from the platform:

1. Referral Rewards

   • Curators earn referral rewards when they successfully influence others to mint a post.

   • When a collector mints a post as a result of a curator’s activity (like sharing a post or appearing in a follower’s feed), the curator earns a percentage of the minting fee.

   

2. Minting Fee Breakdown for Curators

   • 25% (0.000025 ETH) of the total minting fee is allocated to the curator who influenced the mint.

   • This reward is paid out automatically to the curator’s Rodeo Wallet.

3. How to Share Posts for Referral Rewards

   • Share Via Direct Messages: Open the post you’d like to share and click the "Share" button to send it to other users via direct message.

   • Use Referral Links: Click the "Share" option and generate a link that can be shared on social media or other messaging platforms.

   • Each time a collector mints the shared post, the curator earns a referral reward.

Both creators and curators can track their earnings on Rodeo using their Rodeo Wallet and blockchain explorer tools like Basescan. Here’s how to do it:

1. View Earnings in the Rodeo Wallet

   • Log In: Access your Rodeo account and click on the wallet icon.

   • Access Transactions: Check the list of incoming deposits, which will display minting rewards and referral earnings.

2. View Earnings on Basescan

   • Go to Your Rodeo Profile: Click on your username, ENS, or linked wallet address from your profile.

   • Access Rodeo Wallet: Click on the linked Rodeo Wallet address to open it on Basescan.

   • Internal Transactions: Click on the "Internal Transactions" tab to see detailed information on all earnings and rewards deposited into your wallet.

   • Copyminting: Duplicating another creator’s work without permission.

   • Hate Speech: Content that promotes hate, discrimination, or harassment.

   • NSFW (Not Safe for Work) Content: Posts with adult or sensitive content that have not been properly tagged as NSFW.

2. What Happens When a Post is Moderated?

   • Removal from Profiles: The post is no longer visible on the creator’s profile or the general feed.

   • Persistence on the Blockchain: While the post may be removed from Rodeo’s platform, any tokens minted from the post still exist on the blockchain and remain in collectors' wallets. These tokens may still be viewable on other blockchain platforms or marketplaces.

   • Notifications: The creator is notified if their post is moderated, along with the reason for the action.

3. How to Appeal a Moderation Decision

   • Submit an Appeal: If you believe your post was unfairly moderated, you can submit an appeal to Rodeo’s support team.

   • Provide Evidence: Include any relevant information or context to support your appeal.

   • Review Process: The support team will review your case and provide a decision.

   • When sharing posts via referral links or direct messages, ensure that you’re doing so to support creators and introduce high-quality content to others.

   • Do not engage in spammy or manipulative tactics to encourage mints.

4. Tag NSFW Content Properly

   • If your post contains adult or sensitive material, make sure to tag it as NSFW so users can make informed viewing decisions.

   • Link Your Farcaster Account: In your Rodeo settings, look for the option to connect Farcaster.

   

   • Scan the QR Code: Use your Farcaster app to scan the QR code displayed in Rodeo.

   • Complete Authorization: Follow the prompts to authorize the connection between Rodeo and Farcaster.

2. How to Share Posts via Farcaster Channels

   • Toggle on Sharing: When creating a post, toggle the option to "Share to Farcaster."

     

   • Select a Channel: Choose which Farcaster channel you want the post to be shared in.

   • Post & Share: Once the post is live, it will automatically be cast to the selected Farcaster channel, broadening its visibility.

     

3. How to Enable and Use the Autocasting Feature

   • Activate Autocasting: Enable the autocasting feature in your Rodeo settings.

   • Seamless Sharing: Every new post you create on Rodeo will be automatically shared on your connected Farcaster account, streamlining cross-platform engagement.

Rodeo’s "Share Your Top 9" feature allows users to showcase their favorite or most recently collected posts in a visually appealing format.

1. How to Create and Share Your Top 9

   • Access the "Share Your Top 9" Option: Visit your Rodeo profile, and if you’ve minted at least 9 posts, you’ll see the option to create a "Top 9."

   

   • Generate the Image: Click the "Share Your Top 9" button to automatically generate a grid of your 9 most recently collected posts.

     

   • Review the Preview: View a preview of the grid to ensure it looks the way you want.

   • Share to Warpcast: Choose a channel for your Top 9 post and click “Cast” to cast your grid to Warpcast. 

   

2. How Creators Are Automatically Tagged in the Top 9

   • Each creator’s Farcaster username is automatically tagged in the Top 9 image, giving them credit and visibility.

   • Tags increase engagement by encouraging creators to reshare the post with their own audiences.

     

Rodeo integrates with several key platforms and NFT marketplaces to create a more seamless experience for creators, collectors, and curators.

1. Connections with Foundation, Highlight, and NFT Marketplaces

   • Foundation Integration: Link your Foundation account to showcase your existing NFTs directly on your Rodeo profile.

   • Highlight Integration: Connect Highlight to promote specific collections or featured content within your Rodeo profile.

   • NFT Marketplace Visibility: Any tokens minted on Rodeo (ERC-1155 tokens) are visible and tradeable on external NFT marketplaces that support this token standard.
