Objkt.com is the most popular Tezos NFT platform. Artists across a wide variety of mediums mint their work as NFTs on Objkt.com. 

My name is Lauren McDonagh-Pereira. I am a photographer, NFT artist, NFT collector, and web3 blogger. I have been fully immersed in the NFT art space since February 2022. I have been obsessed with Tezos since May of 2022. 

In today's post, I will walk you step by step through the process of setting up your user account on Objkt.com.

This process is the same for both artists and collectors. If you are ready to learn, keep reading!

Objkt.com is an online platform for buying, selling, and trading NFTs (digital artwork and collectibles) on the Tezos blockchain. 

Once you have an account set up, you can mint your own artwork onto the blockchain, you can collect art from other Tezos artists, and you can follow other artists so that you are always notified of their new drops on Tezos. 

To set up your account on Objkt.com, you need a Tezos cryptocurrency wallet.

If you have your Tezos wallet ready, you are ready to head over to Objkt.com and start creating your new account. 

Open the same web browser that you used to create your Tezos wallet, and navigate to https://objkt.com/

Take extra care to ensure that your browser bar reads https://objkt.com/ and NOTHING else.

A common cryptocurrency scam is building dummy websites that look identical to the real deal as an attempt to phish for your seed phrases and passwords.

Always be suspicious, take it slow, and double check your web addresses. 

Once you are sure that you are on objkt.com, locate the "Sync" button in the top right hand corner of the screen. 

Click on "Sync". 

A pop up window will appear, and it will ask you to chose your Tezos wallet provider.

For this account, I will be using my Temple wallet, so I am going to click on "Temple". 

Once you have selected your wallet provider, a new pop up will appear asking you to either "Connect Now" or use the mobile wallet on your phone to connect.

I am going to connect my wallet manually, so I will use the "connect now" button. 

Your Temple wallet should pop up. 

You will now need to enter the password that you created for your wallet. 

This password is NOT your seed phrase. It is the alphanumeric password that you created when you installed your wallet as a browser plug in. 

If your wallet does not open, double check that you are using using the correct web browser. You need to be using the browser and the account that you used to install your wallet's plug-in. 

The pop-up will change and will ask you to "Confirm the Connection" between Objkt.com and Temple.

When you press "Connect", you will be giving Objkt.com permission to interact with your Tezos wallet.

Press "Connect".

Confirm that you would like to use your Tezos wallet to create an Objkt.com account by clicking "Sign."

You now have an Objkt.com account.

From the home page, click on the circle in the top right corner. This circle will eventually contain your profile picture. 

The circle will open a drop down menu. Click on profile to visit your new account home page. 

You brand new Objkt.com account should look like the example below. 

You will be assigned a cartoon cat as your temporary PFP, and your name will be listed as your full Tezos wallet address.

You now have a brand new account on the Objkt.com NFT minting platform.
