We have just launched the second Lum Sub-DAO, hopefully with many more to come. Each sub-DAO can create the tools (art, platforms, AI agents, protocols, etc.) that eventually can become the infrastructure we use to unite the sub-DAOs, to more directly cooperate and align incentives.
Each of the first 2 Sub-DAOs came from the last two contests. They each have 250 $lum to work with, plus 70% of the proceeds from the contest-winning mints.
The groups can choose what they want to do. They could just decide how best to deploy the tokens, then wrap up the group. But they could also use this as an opportunity to build a sustainable economic flywheel, so the group can continue doing cool stuff together.
Lum Art Council
The first sub-DAO came from the winners of the Luminous art contest, as well as those whose images were used as references for the winning entries. They are working on some proposals for what they want to do in the new year. They could create events that encourage artist participation, and are thinking about using tools like https://www.alias.studio/ to involve a group of artists in creating an initial Lum Image Generation Model. But we will see what they come up with!
To incentivize participation, as long as they desire to remain involved, the members of this group will also receive the following tokens, vesting over the next 6 months.
30% of the token supply for each of the 3 tokens from their Zora mints ($Vibrant, $Zenith, $Together). So over 4% per person. (in this way, if any of the tokens were to reach $1m market cap, they each would have $40k coming to them over the next 6 months)
210 $lum (30 per member). At current valuations this is only a small stipend to thank them for figuring out the best way to use some $lum and $eth to further the Luminous community.
Lum Sub-DAO #2
The second sub-DAO just started, and includes anyone who earned over 30 votes in the writing contest. Name, goals, and mission still TBD.

Things they can do, as a party, by a vote
Anything you can do with a wallet (connect, sign, buy, mint, sell NFTs, send, receive, etc.)
Sell additional memberships to the party.
Add additional members manually.
