Do a Little More, Aim a Bit Higher

Inspired to go higher, I'm launching this blog to share my journey as an (improving!) middle of the pack runner. I started running about a year and a half ago, and it's pretty much an obsessive force in my life at this point. From running my first 10K, completing 3 half + 2 full marathons, and experiencing the joy of injuries derailing my training, it's been an eventful 18 months.

As it will inevitably become evident, I'm not the type to "dip my toes" into things. If I am even marginally interested, I dive in headfirst. I go waaay down the rabbit hole. My relationship with running has been no exception to this. From the thousands of miles ran, the hundreds of hours of content consumed, the dozens of shoes tested, and the never-ending grind to get better...I've learned a few things.

I am by absolutely no means an "expert" about running in any capacity, but I am a doer and an experimentooor of any and all things in the name of getting faster + stronger. This blog will serve as my take on a diary of everything that's happening in my little orbit of running—the good, the bad, and the (likely) ugly.

If nothing else, I hope this serves as mild entertainment as you cope with your own addiction to running. Maybe you'll find motivation or inspiration, or maybe you'll just find an outlet to laugh at all the ridiculous shit a non-elite, amateur hobby jogger like me does to eke out marginal gains in the hopes of going sub 3 in the marathon.

If this sounds remotely interesting to you, then you—like me—might have a couple of screws loose. And I love it. Go ahead and smash that subscribe button to stay in the loop.
