At 10 am each Thursday, I get a little bit of art therapy during the Nouncil weekly call.

What’s Nouncil you ask? It’s a council of nounish builders that have Nouns votes delegated to them to represent the interests of those building in the ecosystem who may not hold any Nouns.

While we discuss NounsDAO props and other governance, Skipper Lee, an amazing artist building HD Nouns Playground, has been drawing representations of those props; simple black and white drawings that emote so much character and bring to life representations of these proposals.

He posts his art in the chat during the voice call and I’ve took to uploading that work into Nounsai.wtf and creating my own derivative of that work. It’s my Nouncil Art Therapy.

Nounsai Playground allows you to upload images and then use ai to create a new take on the image. You can also create directly from the platform. And this ai has been trained to know what noggles are. ⌐◨-◨

It’s become a weekly creativity exercise to see what I can make from these sketches, resulting in some fun outcomes. This week, I played around with Skipper’s Nouns: A Movie character Gi drawing that took from the new animated film. The pilot was just released (it’s amazing!) and a new prop is up for chapter 2. So while discussing that prop, Skipper Lee dropped this gem and I popped it into Nounsai.wtf.

These small moments of creativity are like doodling on your notebook during a meeting. But the web3 version that is so much more fun. I enjoy governance discussions so I look forward to Nouncil anyway but this “art therapy” brings a light hearted addition to this time.

And makes it definitely time well spent.
