VPM LAUNCHES WITH A KILLER FEATURE

It's been six months since my last update, and in that time, we've been deeply immersed in research, testing, and refining. The result? A product we believe will help redefine the role of Generative AI in creative workflows.

What sets us apart from the countless AI models and tools out there?

As an artist and creative entrepreneur, I’ve experienced firsthand the need for efficient, dynamic, and affordable visual content that matches the vision I have for a song, an event, or a client. This need becomes even more pressing in today’s world, where constant visual output has become essential. Yet, many creative tools try to replace the artist or designer, rather than assisting them in becoming more efficient. That’s why we’ve built a tool that to help creatives enhance their workflows, instead of trying replace them completely.

This a big part of our “why”, especially as we continue to see tools built that don't offer solutions to existing problems. There is still a giant disconnect between the creative fields and the emerging technologies that are being scaled. We saw the reality of this echoed this past June during a must watch performance and discussion by the Royal Shakespeare Company during Mozilla Fest.

Visual content is essential for creative professionals, whether in social media, live events, or pre-production. That’s why we built VPM—to make it easier to create dynamic, high-quality visuals.

VPM simplifies the creation process, allowing users to select from multiple AI-based styles and make creative decisions through intuitive prompts. For most casual users, visuals might not be a consistent need, but for creative professionals, the demand is constant. The costs associated with creating these visuals can quickly add up, whether its subscriptions, stock video clips, hiring freelancers, or building top tier visual experiences.

While ORIGIN STØRIES works with brands and the B2B sector on custom experiences, our focus with VPM is on SMB creatives. We have a particular interest in assisting those in music, content creation, and filmmaking. VPM is designed to help them meet their creative needs efficiently, without sacrificing quality.

Using AI to assist in specific phases of the creation process to better communicate your ideas is a huge unlock.

We also aim to leverage AI to help artists explore new revenue streams. Recent reports, including this August feature in DJ Mag, indicate that the music industry stands to lose significant revenue due to Generative AI. At the same time, two recent articles in The Economist highlight how AI has yet to make an impact in the larger economy It’s more critical than ever to include artists in the conversation and build phase of emergent technologies.

Our goal is not to replace artists, but to give them the tools to become more efficient and engaged with their audiences, creating new experiences and opportunities for others.

In preparation for our launch, we tested VPM across several events and case studies:

• H.E.R. Con (ETHLondon): Collaborated with H.E.R. DAO, inviting participants to create their own 'Queen.'

• Cannes Lions: Developed a mobile experience featuring real-time user-generated stickers.

• Hybrid Visions (Paris): Blended fashion and surrealism with a former Louis Vuitton art director.

• ETHCC Brussels: Created an IRL escape room using an AI-generated game agent, supported by NFT Fest.

• FWB Fest: Experimented with personalized minting on Base Testnet.

• Amsterdam: Co-created tokenized DJ visuals with UFO Club and Fermi Collective.

• Stockholm: Hosted a live-streamed concert where the audience co-created visuals in real-time, with over 100k social impressions, 200 viewers, and 100 in-person attendees.

Through this we've begun to see a shift in perspective from artists and this was also validated in a recent report from the International Music Summit.

Our goal is to explore the uncharted territory between human creativity and machine collaboration.

This weekend, we’ll debut a new experience at Archetypes, a destination music event in Poland. We’ve partnered with a psychologist to create a personalized quiz that allows attendees to design their own archetype, which will be displayed on-site and given as physical tarot cards.

Over the past months we have been actively developing our product offering as part of the Livepeer AI program. We look forward to continue working with this team as they create valuable infrastructure for applications like ours. We are soon approaching Demo Day, where we will showcase this for the public.

We’re also excited to announce that ORIGIN STØRIES, our creative studio, is part of Artizen Season Five, a fund for creativity launching on September 17th. This marks the beginning of our larger fundraising efforts and AI literacy workshops for artists.
