poidh on Degen Chain 🎩

It's been a while since the latest update here, so I wanted to get a quick blog out recapping what we've been up to 👇

Design was never our strong suit, but we think we're taking big steps forward with our new look! A huge shoutout goes to our friends at FLOC* who created an interface that stays true to poidh's playful roots while updating and streamlining the UI.

We've always been fans of Farcaster's favorite coin, DEGEN, here at poidh. So when we heard that they were launching an L3, we couldn't resist launching poidh features with DEGEN bounties built in.

When you use degen.poidh.xyz, you will need to have a wallet that enables Degen Chain. Luckily, we've also teamed up with Dynamic who make using Degen Chain a breeze. You can even generate an embedded wallet right within the app using your email that will work with Degen Chain out of the box.

You can bridge to Degen Chain with your Base DEGEN via bridge.degen.tips. Or just hit me up on Warpcast @kenny. If you're nice, I've got your first DEGEN for gas covered on the house 🤝.

So we have a new look, and new chain, but the most important thing is...

While poidh v1 focused on 1-on-1 bounties, we've always discussed that the plan with v2 was to introduce "multiplayer" features that allow for anyone to contribute additional funds to a specific bounty.

With degen.poidh.xyz this is now a reality. Any user can now create an "open bounty" that allows anyone else to add funds. Doing so gives them voting rights to vote in favor or against any claim that the bounty owner eventually selects as the bounty winner.

Our previous blog post on v2 dives into the technical design decisions behind this mechanism, and we will discuss more in future posts, but for now, we'll simply say this: we think this is a huge step forward for onchain coordination and we're extremely excited to try it out with you all!

Also, please note, while open bounties are an important new innovation, the old poidh you know and love hasn't gone anywhere. Solo bounties are still the default option for anyone who creates a poidh bounty.

While we're loving the experience on Degen Chain so far, we've heard our users loud and clear. People want poidh to meet them on the chain they're on. With this in mind, we will soon launch v2 on both Arbitrum and Base.

The current version of v2 found at degen.poidh.xyz is in Alpha, and the upcoming move to Arbitrum and Base will be the Beta deployment. This move should happen within the next month, and when it happens the v1 of poidh currently deployed via poidh.xyz will be moved to classic.poidh.xyz.

After the migration, all 3 chains (Arbitrum/Base/Degen Chain) will be available via poidh.xyz.

That's all for today's updates, but one last note is that we would like to thank everyone who has supported us through the early days of poidh. We've come so far since September 2023 with a buggy app and a dream, and the feedback and love from the community have kept us going through it all.
