In a short period, $REGEN has already created something special: it has ignited interest in the regen meme, brought regens from every corner of the world together in /regen and grown a thriving community of over 15,000 people. This community is already making an impact, from overloading Giveth with donations to sharing hundreds of âtouch grassâ moments on Warpcast.
It's natural that the Regen community spends weekends touching grass. This type of IRL interaction and engagement is something that will set $REGEN apart, building rituals and rewarding IRL actions. After all $REGEN is a grassroots culture coin to grow the regen meme and movement.
This movement officially began on the Pink Moon, with hints of what was to come. In the past two weeks, more details have emerged, and Regens started receiving rewards in the form of Regen points. The leaderboard quickly filled up with some of the most prominent ShroomChads competing for that #1 spot.
A snapshot of the first phase (Pink Moon Phase) has been taken, and points have reset for the Flower Moon Phase. A few things to note:
If your points are showing as zero, it's highly likely that you did not meet the criteria to convert provisional points into actual points via donations (as explicitly stated on the website and in previous blog posts).
If your points are showing as zero and you have donated to Gitcoin or Giveth beyond a minimum amount of $5 prior to the snapshot, get in touch with @regentoken on warpcast.
This new phase and cycle will bring about a lot of new opportunities for regens to prove themselves. It will also include a lot of weeding work, as bots, spammers and the like will be yeeted to ensure that real regens can grow.
So far, it's been great to see degens joining forces with regens, just going to show that many of those degens were also regens. The vision for $REGEN is to unite these energies and unlock the full potential of web3 to power things like public goods, open-source software and environmentally conscious initiatives.
For those joining the party a bit late, donât worry. If you have previous proof-of-regen, you can still claim your points on regen.tips until the [redacted] Moon. Just donât wait too long.
So, whatâs next?
1. Fun and Rewards: The goal is to make being a regen fun and rewarding â so you can still earn points through regen actions: read the farming guide for best results. Get creative with your memes, art, games and anything else that can spark more regen vibes.
In the coming days and weeks, $REGEN will be announcing partnerships and collaborations with leading regen aligned projects across the space. With this will come many new fun, regen-aligned ways to earn points with more details coming soon!
2. Fairness and Anti-bot Measures: With points come bots. The Regen project is committed to making farming fun and fair by removing bots and spammers. New Farcaster channel features make this easier. All bots and associated accounts will be banned and will receive zero points. Donât try to game the system â as the FAQs explain, you will be yeeted.
3. Upcoming Airdrop and new Feature: Youâre probably wondering, "Wen Airdrop?" The first airdrop is planned to occur during this phase â it will be an NFT airdrop that will be a fundamental part of the Regen project, using onchain data to determine whether or not you're really a regen.
Alongside this, here's some alpha: an exciting new feature will be coming soon. If you also enjoy wearing a đ©, you might be able to guess what it is. In fact more alpha has already been circulating on socials, maybe Reggie should start an alfafrens?
It's important to remember, $REGEN wonât be a single airdrop, but a series of RegenDrops over time, always following a full moon. The first $REGEN token airdrop is coming soon, with full details of the Regenomics to be released in the lead-up.
