"The old me is Dead & Gone" - TI
It's something I do not and have never resonated with.
I feel more true to my young self then I have ever felt before.
The process of removing the mental chains one puts themselves in can either bring out the old me, or bring out a new me. I love my old me, I'll bring out the old me.
With the old me I am talking about character traits and a way of being. The old me will be improved with experience and lessons learned.
Though the core spirit is sacred to me.
I understand why at times one lets 'the old me' go, though I think it's a falsum.
You're not improving, your ignoring.
It's a way of not dealing with the underlying or root of why you want to let the old me be 'dead & gone'.
It's a harsh reality and may seem counterintuitive at first, though feel your stomach right now? Think AND feel deeply. I firmly believe eventually when the realisation sets in, it's a lesson you'll hopefully tell your grand children if you get to be blessed with grand children.
