If Beings Club terrifies you slightly, you’re probably in the right place.
A collection of strangers, on the internet, with no fixed-aim, exploring ideas and conversation for a whole year could end up in a number of different situations.
The idea of meeting with people you don’t know to engage in conversation can be difficult enough when you know what you’re going to be talking about. But I think if you’re reading this you’re probably not the average person. For one thing, you’re probably more curious than most. And that is a great start.
There is nothing quite like Beings Club. The truth of this endeavour is that it requires a unique combination of qualities in it’s participants.
Not everybody is going to “get” Beings Club and that is in part what will make it special.
If you do “get” Beings Club it’s because you have either experienced, or have a hunch, that the best conversations are like magic, and that magic is invited through the door of the unexpected.
The absolute truth is that not every conversation you have at Beings Club is going to feel like magic. Many will be pleasant or neutral. Some might even be downright awkward or uncomfortable. Some may feel like a breakthrough, others may feel mundane. Some will introduce you to new ideas, others will traverse the familiar. And those that will be magic, will be magic.
The only proper guarantee I can give you is that if you are willing to take the leap on the basis of a genuine curiosity, everyone else you meet will have done the same thing.
In doing so, you and everyone else are embarking on a journey.
You’ll have set off towards the horizon, with some ideas of what may be out there, but no certainty.
Individually and collectively, we will no doubt find ourselves somewhere different by the end of it, and we will have made the journey together.
Your curiosity can take you to places you never dreamed of.
This is the vision for Beings Club.
Accept the invitation, and be part of something special.
Year-long membership will be available here.
