The Art Collector - Edition #1

Upcoming exhibitions across web3

Welcome to The Art Collector

Hello fellow collectors!

This newsletter is meant to solve a pain point near and dear to my heart -- discovery. As a collector, Iā€™ve noticed that itā€™s increasingly difficult to:

  1. Discover NFT art exhibitions - if I donā€™t see them coming I miss out completely! šŸ˜

  2. Keep track of all NFT art exhibitions - when they are launching, what are the price and supply of the release, etc. šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

Gone are the days of scouring and sifting through the noise on X. Every week, Iā€™ll curate the top upcoming exhibitions across web3 so that you never miss one you care about again.

Without further ado, here is our inaugural curated list:

See below for links to each exhibition along my takes on each.

February 9

Tonic - šŸ’–HEARTSLEEVES: SKIN by Lovid

Generative video is not a genre I see too often - this collection takes things a step further by allowing NFT holders to mint 5 ā€œportraitsā€, which is produced with input from the collector in an environment theyā€™ve set up called Portrait Studio. Love the experimental side of this.

Magic Eden - Supernatural Creatures by Glitch Candies

This animated collection is very eclectic and is proclaimed by Glitch Candies to be the first generative audiovisual NFT collection.

Itan World - SoulWorld Origins: ONE by Karalang

Itan World definitely has a unique perspective among curators, with its African-inspired works across various categories. Karalangā€™s works have a distinctive colorful style, and this exhibition is a canā€™t miss for those who enjoy illustrations.

February 12

Magic Eden - Lux Purpetua by Vikki Bardot

Lux Perpetua strikes me as a Daft Punk-esque AI portrait collection. Lots of cool variations in the previews and I can see this also become very PFP-able.

TBD - abstract pAInting by Marco Bonafe

Marcoā€™s AI model was trained primarily by a picture of pieces of wood on the floor - crazy how something so simple turned into outputs that absolutely pass my wall test.

February 13

Forever Projects - harpfeeder by Miles Peyton

Forever Projects is back with its latest release featuring Miles Peyton, with a collection exploring harp sponges, which actually look pretty cool in real life so looking forward to seeing Milesā€™ take on them.

February 14

Art Blocks - Proscenium by Remnynt

The next Art Blocks Curated release features Remnyntā€™s first release on the platform. Prosceniumā€™s sample outputs showcase vibrant patterns and evoke, dare I say, groovy vibes.

February 20

SkaldaAI - Kingdom of the Dreamer by DocT

SkaldaAI is an up-and-coming curator that I feel has been flying under the radar since their first exhibition in Aug/Sep. They are back, with a collection by DocT that explores fairy tales in vibrant, colorful fashion.

Ongoing

Bright Moments Paris - Various

Bright Moments has a good track record of identifying up-and-coming talent and this exhibition showcases the most recent artists in residence.

TBD

Fellowship - THE WAY I REMEMBER THINGS by Andrea Ciulu

Coming off a massive Auntieverse exhibition, Fellowship has been on a roll lately. Andreaā€™s works focus on how time can change our memories - admittedly I get flashbacks from my childhood when I look at these works - Iā€™m following this one closely as more details emerge.

I hope you found this helpful - Iā€™d love to continually improve this newsletter so if you have any feedback reach out to me on X or Warpcast.
