There once was a grandma in Holland
who also much loved Albion and
would be very merry
when eating cranberries
and singing a song with an odd end.
Every day I open a door in my advent calendar and find a new colour fountain pen ink. To test them, I write a poem inspired by their name. As you can guess, one of the inks was called Cranberry. It's a fun exercise and often the ink names trigger nice memories. An extra gift in this advent season. The Cranberry ink made me think of my mother, who recently passed and loved cranberries. She also loved England and odd songs. So, writing a limerick seemed appropriate.
What memories are you cherishing this season?

Poésie de la vie
Another poem inspired by this ink, reminded me of riding my bike in spring and listening to the mesmerising music of The Cranberries. Enjoy their Ode to my Family.
