Lens Creators Club: A Space for Collaboration and Growth 🌿

The Lens Creators Club (LCC) is a new initiative led by Maria Paula from the Lens team. It’s an Orb Club that serves as a central hub for creators within the Lens ecosystem.

What's Going On? 👀

LCC aims to foster collaboration and growth for all creators using Lens. It’s a space where creators can discover and share opportunities such as open calls, residencies, grants, and educational programs.

One of the first initiatives? The banner and club profile picture will soon rotate via open call, allowing the community to decide.

The first banner was designed by @tinyrainboot, embracing the idea of Lens as a garden where diverse voices can grow together. This symbolises the collaborative spirit that LCC strives to nurture.

Why It Matters? 🤓🤓

This initiative highlights the importance of community-driven collaboration in Lens, providing creators with a space to thrive, connect, and grow.

By offering a dedicated space to share opportunities, Lens and partner events, and Lens collabs, LCC ensures everyone has access to the resources they need—all in one place.

Moderated by the Lens OGs Ruthless, Grams, and ZkJew, LCC reinforces the commitment to community involvement.

Club is Open for Everyone 🤗

LCC is designed to support creators (and more) by uplifting one another. It’s a space where diverse voices come together to grow. Join the LCC here and let’s grow together 🌿

Mystic Garden: The Lens Native Art Platform 🎨

Mystic Garden is the first Lens-native platform for exclusive 1/1 art by curated artists, built by @definn. This platform allows collectors and creators to experience the magic of unique art within the Lens ecosystem.

The Genesis Drop which has officially concluded, was a success. With 13 exclusive, single-edition artworks, the auction drew tremendous interest and support from the Lens community.

Why Mystic Garden?

Collectors benefit from no extra fees, direct wallet transactions, and customizable NFT titles. Artists keep 98% of their earnings with a low minting fee and enjoy maximized auction profits. Plus, Mystic Garden’s native integration with Lens ensures each collect is a Lens post.

Bonsai Airdrop Season 2

Engage with the platform by bidding, collecting, and minting to earn points for Bonsai Airdrop Season 2, enhancing your rewards while supporting artists.

Curious also about Season 2 and what Drop will happen next 👀

Hey.xyz & Orb Access Token Incident: What Happened & How to Not Repeat It 🤝🏼

Have you missed this one last week? Here's the lowdown 👇🏼

Paul Burke recently uncovered a security issue on Hey.xyz where user access tokens were being shared with Orb—without consent.

Just by viewing an Orb Club page on Hey, your access token was passed to Orb’s servers, allowing them to make changes to your Lens profile without you knowing (if they wanted).

Why This Shouldn’t Happen

In Web3, user control and transparency are everything. Sharing access tokens without permission goes against that. Users need to know who has access to their accounts, and for what purpose.

Where Things Went Wrong 💀

  • No Consent: Hey.xyz didn’t ask for permission before sharing user tokens with Orb.

  • Orb’s Design Flaw: Orb should’ve used read-only tokens for simple identity checks but didn’t.

  • Lack of Updates: It seems like both platforms missed some key updates from the Lens API that could’ve prevented this.

How to Not Repeat It? 🤝🏼

Consent should be mandatory before sharing tokens. Both Hey and Orb also need to stay on top of Lens protocol updates and communicate better with each other and the community.

Big shoutout to Paul Burke for catching this and pushing for a quick fix—nice work 💪🏼

Chess Game Frame: Play Chess Inside a Farcaster Frame

The Chess Game Frame, built by @fiveoutofnine.eth, allows you to play a full-featured game of chess entirely within a Farcaster Frame.

You can select your level—Easy, Intermediate, or Advanced—and make your moves directly within the feed.

Why It Matters for In-Feed Interactions

This innovation enhances user engagement by bringing interactive gameplay directly into your feed. Instead of just passively consuming content, users can now actively participate in a strategic game without leaving the platform.

By integrating a classic game like chess within the social framework, Chess Game Frame shows how interactive experiences can increase time spent on the platform while fostering community engagement.

Beer Taste: Saku Brewery from Estonia 🍻

Today, we’re off to Estonia to explore the delightful brews from Saku Brewery, founded in 1820 by nobleman Karl Friedrich von Rehbinder.

This brewery has been a staple in the Estonian beer scene for over two centuries and is now part of the Carlsberg Group, all while retaining its local charm.

Saku Originaal: The Flagship Brew 🍺

Saku Originaal, first brewed in 1993, is the brewery's star. Made from yeast, water, and selected malt and hops, it’s the most recognized beer in Estonia. Thanks to innovative crystal-filtering technology, it boasts a longer shelf life and a stronger taste, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

A Range of Brews to Explore 😁

Saku offers a variety of styles to cater to different tastes, including:

  • Saku Kuld: A smooth lager perfect for any occasion.

  • Saku Tume: A rich dark lager that warms the soul.

  • Saku Porter: A robust brew for those who enjoy depth and complexity.

Saku Brewery also produces ciders, long drinks, and energy drinks, ensuring there’s something for everyone. So grab a Saku from the box below and enjoy a taste of Estonian tradition! Cheers!
