Gramajo’s Corner

Back in business from the 4th. Technically I came at you with a new series last week, so in case you missed it (its a quick one) you can read it below.

Hypersub announced free tiers and I made the Type0 tier free. I plan to token gate my content more now that we have a free tier. Why am I doing that? I am still trying to figure out how to grow this newsletter but I am bullish on hypersub, my content and where I am going. I have some ideas with the free tier that I want to pursue and doing it all via hypersub seems way easier.

On the Ambassador side, I also announced a recent cap to make the group no more than 250. My thinking is I want to curate a group of people and part of one of the perks I want to pursue is building a stronger online community and some other cool shit. I recently announced the next nine interviews I have lined up to the Ambassadors Lounge and that doesn't even include all the artist collabs I am working on. So make sure to sign up, I also accept tipping with DEGEN.

I've been trying to grow my Farcaster channel more and more so this past week I announced an alien themed meme round. If you are a meme lord, show me what you got and you can earn some DEGEN. Best one will get a surprise NFT.

Lastly, this Friday I drop my latest podcast episode with Colin from the Warpshop team to discuss being a founder of a project and a web3 company, the benefits of being onchain and more.

Knowledge

I wanted to share this account. Crypto and Tech can sometimes be really confusing or hard to understand. Most of my IRL job consists of me being able to translate Legal requirements to technical folks and vice versa. So I really enjoy Suhail Kakar's content. He does explain like I am five content really well so make sure to give them a follow.

Art

I've always wanted to own a Coldie piece and by the time this issue drops you will have a little under 48 hours to get your own (if you want). One lucky person will get airdropped a 1/1 by Coldie but even owning an edition piece with the famous Jack Dorsey on it is enough for me.

I wanted to take the time to congratulate fellow Latino Alejandro Cartagena for getting one of his pieces acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria (full post below). We are seeing more and more acquisitions by museums of digital art/NFTs and always happy to see another fellow Latino get their work recognized.

Manifold announced yet another new set of features/mechanism for artist to leverage when it comes to dropping art. A randomized art loot box method where artist are empowered to give out randomized edition pieces and brings some fun back to collecting. A great example of leveraging this new tech is one of my favorites artist in the space, Tiffatronn with her collection The Balance of Duality.

Nishant has been absolutely cooking recently. I've been really enjoying seeing his style being applied to iconic IRL pieces. For example this In N Out inspired piece. As well as doing some custom work for some of his collectors.

Tech

Let us start with a warning. Stay safe out there my friends, don't get caught sleeping even if the market feels slow, take your time. Shoutout to Bushi and Diid for putting me on to this new potential exploit. If you know a server is running a Mee6 and one that specifically is meant to look like an official comms from the team, be weary that it can be tricked into showing you a malicious link. I am not saying this has already been done and someone got rek, just be extra careful out there. As they say in Sex Ed, all it takes is once.

Alright, lets get to it. Onchain Summer is heating up. Circle announced a new stablecoin backed by the Euro and one that will focus on brining more Europeans onchain. I am personally hoping that this will enable users across borders to accept seamless payments. As an example, I am guessing we are real close for automatic swaps between USDC and EURC and the users on either side would have no idea. Either way, I am excited about the possibilities this can bring.

As some of you may know, i've been experimenting with Telegram a lot more recently (make sure to join my chat after you get Tier0). It is foolish of me and anyone to not at least give it a fairshake when it has close to 1 billion users on the platform daily. FrenPet which was one of the games I covered really early on in their development, can now be played in Telegram.

Competition in the space is healthy and as much as I like to rag on Solana, Blinks was one of those things that I think got some Eth Devs to step up a bit. Gwendall has answered that call with Flinks. Farcaster frames on Twitter. This will be a highly contested space but in the end we will all benefit from more frictionless experiences.

Matthew over at Events has been dropping a ton of new features worth checking out. From a bot that reminds your users of an upcoming event, to POAP integration for those IRL events and more. Highly worth checking out especially now that events are natively supported as an action on Farcaster (more below).

The Warpcast team announced composer actions which is a fancy way of saying native actions when composing a cast. Think of on Twitter how you can run/create a poll easily while composing a tweet. It is the same as that but leveraging native Web3 companies and their services like Calendar Invite by Events, Jobs/Tasks by bountycaster, Polls by Wonder and more. All the onchain apps working together to create a seamless experience for end users.

The creator token or overall token creation space is getting heated. Put aside your feelings on everything having its token, this level of competition really gives the people power to push tech to a whole new level. PartyDAO which made it super easy to create your own DAO has rolled out a new feature/way to roll out a token. From enforced royalties via Uniswap, selling before a token is fully matured and more. Really interesting concepts being deployed and we are already seeing some tokens take off a bit. As always, DYOR.

I think one of the hardest things to do online is building genuine connections between people. I've been really enjoying the concept of gathering users based on onchain metadata. So when I saw Intori come across my feed I was intrigued as it tries to make this process even easier. There are so many new people I am meeting and small little cozy corners across the internet that I need help sometimes discovering more and this seems to want to solve that issue.

Lastly on this section, NT has been featured here before including this AI/LLM summarizer tool AMP. But this recent UI/UX change is bringing a level of polish to his tool that I had to include it again. It is really nice to play with this app and it is extremely fast as well. If you feel like there is too much happening on Farcaster and it is hard to keep up, I highly suggest checking out NT's app.

Notable Sales

In case you missed it while stuffing your face with hotdogs and burgers on 4th of July. Neon Village by Seerlight sold for 20ETH.

I've been going ham collecting One Piece Cards (NFA). Seeing this Black Label Luffy sell for 80k is a BIG DEAL. Not only is it a rare card in a pristine black label version, this tweet came out from Beckett themselves and it talks about The Colony which is a Web3 tokenization RWA company. I've been yelling this from the rooftops, but tokenized graded cards are going to be big.

Onchain XCOPY hits differently, nice to see both ALGOBRO (9ETH) and SIMULACRUM (5.3ETH) sell recently.

Batsoupyum must have gotten the memo early on alien art as he recently acquired Alien Milk for 17ETH.

MARTYRDOOM by Neurocolor sold for 0.9ETH.

Upcoming

I am still bullish on Ordinals and am fully supportive of this move by Xverse and Gamma on trying to onboard more Latinos into ordinals.

SuperRare recently had a prop to move some key architecture to Base L2. On top of that, the team held a spaces where they talked about a potential for $Rare Chain. I recently bought a ton of $RARE (before this announcement/NFA) after thinking it over in my head about a move like this and I am glad I did. I am optimistically bullish on what comes next for SuperRare and some of the benefits they can implement with running an L2.

Collectibles

There are madlads out there and then there is this dude. Not only did he buy a ton of ungraded PSA10 cards, he personally flew PSA to where he and Jordan were to sign these cards and turned them in on the spot so the damage that could be done would be essentially zero. This person legit saw an opportunity and took it HARD. Love this level of commitment to the game. CIAHOAD!

These remixed "Bike Air" AJ4s x Nigel Sylvester are SICK AF. It has been a minute since we have had a Nigel Sylvester Jordan collab and I want these bad.

If you are going to Inscribing in Nashville make sure to grab one of these.

Meme Of The Week

Been ramping up for the last month at the new job and i've already gotten one of those types of requests that makes me shake my head

Fin

Have a great rest of your week!
