1. Chiefs (2-0) (1): I’ll stay bitter on number 1. Lucky PI call and missed offensive holding. Imagine how many games the Chiefs would have lost if a 4th down call didn’t go in their favor or if holding was actually called on their line. They still look good, but should have lost that game.
2. Texans (2-0) (4): The Bears defense is no joke. Houston looks to be a real contender this season. We’ll see how long the pace continues.
3. Bills (2-0) (8): The Bills have brushed off that rocky start and they are starting to look hot. Was Diggs more of the problem than the solution?
4. 49ers (1-1) (2): The niners just can’t seem to win in Minnesota. It’s their kryptonite. They cleaned up way too late. With Deebo and CMC out week 3, this ranking may be too high. Hopefully this was their wake up call.
5. Steelers (2-0) (11): The Steelers defense is a powerhouse this year. Fields isn’t turning the ball over and is doing well on his feet. However, the offense is relying heavily on their run game.
6. Eagles (1-1) (5): Their defense really lost this game. Hurts performed fine without AJ Brown. However, if the Saints can blow up this secondary as well.
7. Lions (1-1) (3): This loss wasn’t due to Aidan Hutchinson’s performance. The defense was playing well. Goff and the injured offense, however, may be the downfall of this team.
8. Buccaneers (2-0) (10): Honestly, I’m on the Baker train. I want this team to perform well and they very much did this on the road with a Playoff contender.
9. Chargers (2-0) (16): A week 2 win against the Panthers isn’t much of a feat. They play a much more reputable defense next week and will determine where the Chargers and Steelers really should fall.
10. Jets (1-1) (13): Defense looked good. Rodgers looked good. Breece looked good.
11. Packers (1-1) (17): Pack did what they needed to do with Love out. Once Love is back, I think we see an even better team.
12. Vikings (2-0) (22): Okay, I had them way too low last week. They might even still be low. They looked good against the Niners.
13. Saints (2-0) (20): The Saints continued their marching as they trampled over the cowboys. Expecting them to move up even more if they continue to march against the Eagles.
14. Ravens (0-2) (6): Honestly, I’m being nice at this point. I shouldn’t have an 0-2 team listed this high. We’ll see who had a worse week 2 game next week as they go up against the Cowboys next week.
15. Cardinals (1-1) (15): Okay, so the Cardinals might be good. Real test will be the lions defense who is far better than the Rams.
16. Seahawks (2-0) (21): Am I being mean to the Seahawks having them be this low at 2-0? Two easy games to start off their schedule. Time will tell.
17. Falcons (1-1) (23): Defense played well against the Eagles and Kirk got done what needed to be done in the 4th quarter. They might be better than expected.
18. Cowboys (1-1) (7): Really? At home too? Bounce back or fall further.
19. Bears (1-1) (19): The Bears got away with a win thanks to their defense. We’ll see if Caleb Williams got his rookie jitters out in time for week 2.
20. Bengals (0-2) (18): They got robbed. Nothing else to be said here.
21. Dolphins (1-1) (9): If not for a solid run game, the Dolphins would be in trouble. If Tua can’t stay healthy, I don’t see this team being successful week after week.
22. Raiders (1-1) (29): On track to likely be 2-1 after week 3. Beating the Ravens was impressive, by far the best upset of the week. RIP all those survivor pools.
23. Patriots (1-1) (24): Pats run game is looking solid, but Geno was able to carve up the defense via the air.
24. Browns (1-1) (25): The Browns have an easy stretch of games coming up, which means they’ll move up in rank despite not being the best football team out there. Maybe it will give Watson some time to remember how he used to play football.
25. Colts (0-2) (12): One of my next free fallers. I gave them the benefit of the doubt last week, but this past week has me feeling that I was too high on them.
26. Rams (0-2) (14): The sky is falling, the sky is falling.
27. Commanders (1-1) (27): The fact they struggled against the Giants didn’t warrant a move for me. Jayden did have a good performance though.
28. Jaguars (0-2) (26): This team is all over the place. They look good on one drive and then look like a completely different team the next.
29. Titans (0-2) (28): Calvin Ridley is still good at football, however, the team itself doesn’t seem too connected.
30. Giants (0-2) (32): Malik Nabers had a good game in the loss. They looked like they almost had some fuel. Only reason they made the jump from the bottom.
31. Broncos (0-2) (30): Their defense is the only thing keeping them relatively competitive.
32. Panthers (0-2) (32): Not sure if I feel worse for the fans or the players.
