Moxiescout.xyz, built by Zenigame (@zeni.eth), is the leading 3rd party app in the Moxie ecosystem.
Moxiescout allows users to view their FanToken portfolios, buy, sell, and trade FanTokens, and seamlessly lock FanTokens for 90 days.
Locking FanTokens increases a users' FarScore more than owning unlocked FanTokens. The higher your FarScore, the more Moxie you give out with your activity on Farcaster, and (in theory) the more engagement you will get from other users.
It is possible to directly lock FanTokens through Moxie's branded Warpcast Cast action. However, the frame is slow and a bit tedious. It's fine to use if you are locking one or two Fan Tokens, but if you are trying to lock your whole portfolio at a clip, Moxiescout.xyz has a much easier interface.

Why Lock Fan Tokens?
FanToken locking was introduced to the Moxie ecosystem on September 26, 2024. When you lock a token, you cannot sell it for exactly 90 days.
Locking FanTokens offers several ways to maximize your engagement and rewards within the Moxie Protocol. Here’s why you might want to consider locking your FanTokens:
1. Boosting Your FarScore
By locking FanTokens, you can significantly increase your FarScore, which is a measure of your influence within the Farcaster network. Your FarScore determines how much Moxie that you give to others when you engage with their content on Farcaster.
For example, my FarScore is 28. When I like someone's cast, they get 14 Moxie (0.5x my FarScore). When I reply to someone's cast, they get 28 Moxie (1x my FarScore). When I recast someone's content they get 56 Moxie (2x my FarScore).
Before I locked my FanTokens, my FarScore was 20. By locking all of my FanTokens today, I boosted my FarScore to 28.
2. Boosting Your Moxie Score
Recently, Moxie expanded beyond Farcaster to all users on Base (Read: Earn Moxie on Base and How to Trade Moxie Fan Tokens on Base).
Now, in addition to a FarScore, users also have a Moxie Score
Your Moxie Score is a metric within the Moxie Protocol that measures your engagement, influence, and activity across Web3 and Web2 platforms. It is calculated based on points earned from various criteria, such as connecting social accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, X, Farcaster), holding blockchain-based identifiers like ENS, participating in liquidity pools, and locking Fan Tokens. A higher Moxie Score correlates with increased Based Rewards (more on that in another article).
Locking FanTokens boosts your Moxie Score (view the complete breakdown here). As you can see below, own between USD 1,000 - 10,000 worth of Fan Tokens increases your Moxie Score by 15 points, while LOCKING the same value of Fan Tokens increases your Moxie Score by 30 points.
3. Supporting Community Growth
Locking FanTokens demonstrates a commitment to the community by reducing token supply and promoting stability. This action can increase the value of FanTokens, benefiting both the individual holder and the broader network.
4. Access to Exclusive Opportunities
Many Moxie Protocol benefits, such as advanced tools, higher engagement allowances, and exclusive rewards, are tied to your influence and contributions to the ecosystem. Locking tokens enhances your standing and may grant you access to these perks, giving you a competitive edge in the Farcaster network.
Locking FanTokens is not just a way to maximize personal gains; it’s also a means of contributing to the sustainability and success of the Moxie Protocol.
How To Lock Fan Tokens with MoxieScout.xyz
1. Visit Moxiescout.xyz
Head over to the MoxieScout website.
Ensure that you are on the correct website before connecting your wallet. You can access the website through Warpcast, by clicking on the link in the bio of the @moxiescout Farcaster account.
2. Login to MoxieScout (or Create a New Account)
Click the "Login" button in the top right corner.
When the pop up window opens, login to MoxieScout using either your Warpcast account, or your wallet. If you choose the wallet option, make sure that you are using the wallet connected to your Moxie Account. (How to Buy, Sell, Trade Fan Tokens on Base)
When you have successfully logged in, you should see your Warpcast/Moxie PFP in the top right corner of the page.
3. View Your Fan Token Portfolio
Click the "Portfolio" button in the top right corner of the MoxieScout website after you have logged in.
Scroll down to see all of the FanTokens that you hold, listed in order of their current value.
For each FanToken you hold you can see:
Quantity - the total number of FanTokens you hold for that particular creator/channel/network.
Locked - the total number of FanTokens for that creator/channel/network that you have locked
Unlocked - the total number of FanTokens for that creator/channel/network that you have not yet locked
Current Price - the current cost to buy a FanToken of that creator/channel/network
24H - the change in price of that FanToken over the last 24 hours
Moxie Invested - the total volume of Moxie that you have used to purchase those FanTokens
Current Value - the current value (in Moxie) of all the FanTokens that you hold for that creator/channel/network
ROI - the percentage increase (or decrease) in that Fan Token since you originally purchased it
Actions
Buy/Sell - click here to buy more of that FanToken or to sell what you hold
Buy & Lock - click here to buy and lock more of that FanToken in one single transaction
Lock - click here to lock unlocked FanTokens that you already hold
4. Lock Fan Tokens
Find a Fan Token in your portfolio that shows an unlocked balance.
Click the "Lock" button on the right, under the Actions header.
Find your FanTokens in your wallet, or in one of the vesting contracts.
Wallet: any tokens that you purchased with Moxie that was in your wallet should show up here.
Vesting: 0x822b...7b50: any tokens that you purchased with vested Moxie earned from the first retro grant airdrop will show up here.
Vesting: 0xc130...38ae: any tokens that you purchased with the original vested airdrop of Moxie on launch day will show up here.
When you have found where your tokens are, decide how many to lock. In the example below, I clicked "Max" to lock all of my tokens from my wallet.
Then click "Lock".
Your wallet will open and ask you to sign a transaction to approve "FanToken" spend. Sign the transaction. A second transaction will now pop up in your wallet to actually lock the tokens.
Sign that transaction.
When the lock is complete, you will see this pop up confirmation.
Determine How Much Your FarScore Has Increased by Locking the FanToken
Click "Share on Warpcast" to find out how much your FarScore has been boosted by this lock.
Clicking "Share on Warpcast" will open Warpcast with a prewritten cast. The first line of the cast will tell you exactly how much your FarScore just increased by locking those tokens.
In the example below, you can see that my FarScore has gone up by 0.02 points because I locked those tokens.
5. Repeat the Process
Now, just go through your FanToken portfolio and repeat the process until you have locked the desired number of Fan Tokens.
You may need to click through all the options and perform multiple lock TXs to lock all of your FanTokens of a particular creator.
For example, I have 30.07 @woj.eth Fan Tokens. 20.07 of those Tokens were in my wallet. 10 of those tokens are in the vesting contract that I got from the Moxie Retro Grant. 0 of them of in the vesting contract from the original Moxie airdrop.
In order to lock ALL of my Woj Fan Tokens, I will have to do the Lock procedure twice. Once for my wallet tokens, and then again for my vested tokens.
When Do FanTokens Unlock?
FanTokens unlock exactly 90 days after you lock them.
FanTokens originally launched on September 26, 2024. Many in the Moxie community locked most, or all of their tokens on that day, causing December 25, 2024 to be a big day for people mass unlocking and then either relocking or selling FanTokens from their portfolios.
Any token you lock going forward will unlock 90 days from the date that you locked it.
How to Unlock and Relock FanTokens
When the 90 days are up, you can unlock to sell, or relock your tokens on moxiescout.xyz
Click on your PFP in the top right corner of any moxiescout.xyz page to open the dropdown menu.
Select "Lock Management".
You will see a list of all your locked FanTokens in order of their unlock date.
As you can see in the example below, I have some @hind tokens and some @lampphotography tokens that I can choose to either Extend or Unlock today.
Below that, you can see that my edit tokens will be unlocked on December 29th, and my network:farcaster, leelnowlton.eth, and /airstack FanTokens will be unlocked on December 30th.
How to Unlock a Fan Token
Find a Fan Token that is eligible to be unlocked and click "Unlock".
You will see a pop up. Click "Unlock Tokens".
Your wallet should pop-up with a TX. Sign the TX.
When the TX is successful, you will see another popup confirming that the tokens were unlocked.
How to Relock Unlocked Fan Tokens
To relock an unlocked FanToken, click "Extend".
A pop-up window will appear showing you the date your token could have been unlocked, and when it will be eligible to unlock if you choose to extend it now.
I am writing this on December 27, 2024, so if I extend my lock on my @hind FanTokens, they will remain locked until March 27, 2025.
Click "Extend Lock" to open the TX in your wallet.
Sign the TX.
When the TX goes through, you will see this message:
Congratulations! You just locked your FanTokens for another 90 days, and boosted your FarScore!
